Position Description:
Work closely with women’s group awards subcommittee to review and establish criteria for evaluating student award applications

Position Description:
Assist with reviewing student award applications, coordinating details for the annual lunch, assisting in arranging childcare services for the annual meeting, spearheading diversity outreach, and more.

Position Description:
Identify topics for white papers and qualified writing teams, review drafts of white papers, and make recommendations to HFES leadership.

National Ergonomics Month Sub-Committee: Member
Position Description:
Actively support implementing the NEM goals and prepare for NEM activities at the Annual HFES October meeting. Encourage the involvement of diverse, early career, mid- and late career members of HFES to share ideas at the NEM meeting on creative ways to promote and disseminate HFE content at the community, industry, and societal levels.
Activities include: 1) participate in conference calls to plan and implement the action items to promote and distribute the NEM activities; 2) provide support for linking the NEM efforts with the IEA global ergonomics month efforts to create a worldwide network of sharing HFE promotion activities; 3) participate in designing and implementing social media and other outreach efforts to heighten the awareness of HFE with specific focus during the month of October and then sustainable activities and publicity during the year.
Additional Information:
Have a passion for promoting the value of HFE to several stakeholders. Willing to work in a small team to accomplish the NEM goals. To have some awareness of the various activities and meetings that occur during HFES annual meeting (or at minimum have a desire to learn and explore the various activities/events during HFES meetings).

Human Factors Podcast: HFES Podcaster
Position Description:
The HFES Podcaster will lead a volunteer team to host specific segments on a variety of topics on a bi-weekly basis. More information can be found here.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develops and deploys HFES podcasts
- Work with advisors Nick Roome and Blake Arnsdorff to develop and execute the structure of the program
- Serves as the podcast technical leader interfacing with HFES Executive Council, Executive Director, and other members of the governing body.
- Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Outgoing with enthusiasm for this work;
Good speaking skills;
Ability to lead interviews or discussion panels
- Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Skilled at communicating with diverse audiences;
Experience with conducting and moderating a podcast or webinars

Equipment and training is provided;
Initial volunteer term is one year with option for reappointment.
