We understand that recent news coverage may have raised questions about safety in Chicago. We want to reassure you that your experience during ASPIRE should be both enjoyable and secure.
It's important to know that most of the activity you’ve heard about has occurred in areas far from our event location. The Hyatt Regency Chicago is not near any federal facilities, and even peaceful demonstrations that may occur are unlikely to impact our venue or your experience.
Chicago is a vibrant, welcoming city that regularly hosts large, diverse events. Just one day before our gathering begins, the city will host the Chicago Marathon, welcoming over 50,000 participants from more than 100 countries. This is a testament to the city's ability to safely and successfully accommodate visitors from around the world.
Chicago was recently named the Best Big City in the U.S. for the ninth year in a row by Condé Nast Traveler, a recognition that reflects the city’s rich culture, hospitality and world-class amenities.
We are actively monitoring local developments and remain confident that there will be no direct impact to our event. Your safety and comfort are our top priorities, and we’re working closely with local partners to ensure a smooth experience.
If you have specific concerns about anything related to your participation, please contact HFES Executive Director Steven Kemp at skemp@hfes.org.
We look forward to seeing you in Chicago soon!
