IEA Webinar: Ergonomics and Informal Work in India: Case Examples from Eastern India

The IEA Informal Work Technical Committee conducts a free webinar series to share information about the nature of informal work, its relationship and implications for ergonomics and human factors (E/HF), and research occurring at the intersection of informality and E/HF around the world. The next webinar is scheduled for Tuesday, August 19th, 2025, 15:00 UTC, 11:00 US ET on "Ergonomics and Informal Work in India: Case Examples from Eastern India."
This webinar organized by the IEA Informal Work TC will provide an overview on ergonomics and informal work in India. The most representative informal jobs from across India will be addressed by prominent speakers from University of Calcutta, Vidyasagar University and IIT Guwahati, and the state of ergonomics in addressing issues and future challenges in informal work will be reviewed.
