The HFES Directory and Yearbook is a benefit of membership. Members automatically receive a print copy free unless they have opted out of receiving the print version. Additional copies may be purchased at a reduced rate.

The directory is published annually to identify members and to assist in communication among them. It also contains descriptions of activities that have taken place during the previous year involving the Society's committees, regional and student chapters, and technical groups. Included in the directory are the HFES Bylaws and Code of Ethics, current and past officers and awardees, and alphabetical and geographical listings of all members.

An online version of the member listings is available to HFES members through a password-restricted access system on the HFES Web site.
