Over the summer, I shared the exciting news that the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society selected SmithBucklin as our association management company. This decision came as part of a forward-thinking strategic move for the Society as we look to expand our reach and achieve greater impact for our members and advance the field.
I am pleased to announce that as of today, October 29, the HFES Headquarters office is officially located in Washington, DC. When you telephone our new office (see the number below), you will be speaking with our new HFES staff members. They are very excited and eager to assist you and begin to advance the Society!
Steven Kemp has assumed the role of HFES’s new executive director. A Certified Association Executive, Steve brings to HFES extensive knowledge and experience in association management and the health care and scientific practice industry.
In his role, he will work alongside the HFES Executive Council to steward our strategic objectives and lead the staff team to advance the Society’s programs and mission.
Speaking of the staff team, I would like to introduce the new staff members who will be on the front lines and ready to serve our members and other stakeholders.
