Call for Nominations: HFES Executive Council

The Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) is seeking nominations for the following open Executive Council positions: 

  • One president-elect 
  • One treasurer-elect 
  • Two at-large members

This is an opportunity to shape the future of the human factors and ergonomics profession and to serve the HFES community at the highest level. Nominations may be submitted for yourself or for a colleague you believe would be an excellent candidate. Nominations must be received by June 19.

Open Positions 

President-Elect

The president-elect works alongside the current president and Executive Council to provide strategic leadership for the Society and will subsequently serve as president and past president.  

Treasurer-Elect

The treasurer-elect serves as an understudy to the secretary-treasurer, attends the Finance and Budget Committee meetings and serves as the chair of the Nominating and Elections Committee, works with council members and the executive director to monitor financial activities of the society. 

At-Large Members

At-large members serve on the HFES Executive Council and represent the broad interests of the Society's membership, contributing to governance, policy and strategic initiatives.

Eligibility 

Nominees must be current HFES members in good standing and be able to commit to a three-year term on the Executive Council. HFES strongly encourages nominations of diverse candidates from across the profession, including academics, researchers, practitioners and from all career stages and specialty areas.
