Sponsorship and Advertising Opportunities

HFES is proud to offer the following sponsorships for the 2017 Annual Meeting. Whether your organization is in industry, academia, government, the military, or consulting, these sponsorship opportunities are an excellent way to raise the visibility of your organization among the 1,200 attendees who are expected in Austin, Texas, this year.

Reserve online! The online exhibit/ad/sponsorships reservation site makes it fast and easy to book your booth, tabletop, advertising, and sponsorships. Online credit card transactions are secure.

Your sponsorship will be promoted via the following channels:

  • HFES Annual Meeting Web site listing with link to your site
  • Opening Plenary Session recognition
  • Annual Meeting program — print and mobile app
  • On-site signage, including your organization's name and logo
  • HFES social media sites — Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook
  • Tweets prior to and during your sponsored events
  • Your brochures placed in your sponsored event location

Internet Café – $3,500
Simply provide a screensaver with your company logo for display on monitors at the free e-mail stations for attendees. This heavily utilized service is an excellent way to increase your visibility. Also includes signage; logo mousepads will be displayed if supplied by the sponsor (5 stations).

Registration Bags – $5,000
Your organization's name and logo will be imprinted on the bags, distributed to all registered attendees. Reserve by August 14, 2017.

Badge Lanyards – $3,000
All attendees receive a lanyard with their registration bags. Reserve by August 28, 2017.

User Experience Day
Contact Lara Cheng ( about sponsorship opportunities for this full-day UX track on Wednesday, October 11.

Topical Tracks in the Technical Program – $2,500 (REDUCED!)
Contact Lois Smith ( about sponsoring the sessions focusing on the Society's 24 Technical Groups. Groups include Health Care, Surface Transportation, Occupational Ergonomics, Product Design, and more (see the full TG list).

Supporting Sponsorship – $1,500
An unlimited number of Supporting Sponsorships are available, providing general support for the meeting where it's needed.

Focus on Students and Early-Career Professionals

Student Reception – $3,500
Each year, 200+ students gather on Tuesday evening, October 10, to enjoy refreshments and camaraderie. Awards are also presented. Signs bearing the sponsor's name and logo will be placed at the door and in an acknowledgment made during the program.

Student Lounge – $4,000 or Three $1,500 partial sponsorships
Up to three sponsorships are available. The lounge provides a relaxing atmosphere for networking and mentoring Monday through Thursday. Sponsor(s) will be acknowledged in signage and may display information about the organization. Specify your preferred date: October 10, 11, 12, or 13.

Mentoring Luncheons – $2,500 or Three $1,000 partial sponsorships
Up to three sponsorships are available. Three luncheons (12:00 noon–1:30 p.m. on Tuesday-Thursday, October 10–12) will be held to provide students and early career professionals with information and opportunities to develop mentoring relationships with established professionals in the human factors/ergonomics field. Specify your preferred date(s): October 10, 11, or 12.

Student Career and Professional Development Day Afternoon Break – $1,500
Student Career and Professional Development Day is a full-day program on Monday, October 9, and is geared toward helping students prepare for their careers. This sponsorship provides an opportunity to reach out to future HF/E professionals and includes signage bearing the sponsor's name and logo.

Early-Career Professionals Reception – $3,500 (REDUCED)
This social event, on Wednesday, October 11, will enable young professionals to network with attendees from industry and academia. The social is followed by a short program that will target specific topics of concern to early-career professionals.

Early-Career Professionals Luncheon – $2,500
This limited-attendance event on Tuesday, October 10, fosters networking and mentorship among those in early stages of their HF/E careers.
