Welcome!
HFES cordially invites you to exhibit your products or services at its 2006 Annual Meeting. HFES annual meetings offer researchers, designers, and practitioners the most up-to-date information in the field of human factors/ergonomics. New developments in areas such as office ergonomics, communications, transportation, consumer product design, safety, and medical systems are presented in more than 100 technical sessions that take place throughout the week. Meetings typically draw 1300-1500 members and interested nonmembers to technical sessions and the exhibit hall.
Who Attends HFES Meetings?
Our attendee profile for the past few years has been about 47% from industry and consulting (industries include aerospace, transportation, computers, design firms, electronics, energy, furniture, insurance, medical systems, telecommunications); 33% university faculty and students, 11% armed services research labs, 1% government-sponsored labs, and 5% federal, state, and local government agencies.
Although the main focus of the HFES Annual Meeting is on the technical program, we have found through surveys that 90% of attendees view the exhibits, and 70% report purchasing authority. Heavily attended exhibits feature books and other publications (80%), computer hardware and software (59%), furniture (27%), job aids and tools (24%), medical devices (12%), and consulting or professional services (22%). Attendees requested more exhibits of measurement tools (luminance, hearing and vision, etc.), software design/simulation/prototyping tools, and ergonomically designed consumer and manufacturing products.
