Register for the 2012 Symposium on Human Factors and Ergonomics in Health Care
The Human Factors and Ergonomics Society invites you to attend the 2012 Symposium on Human Factors and Ergonomics in Health Care, to be held March 12?14 at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel in Baltimore, Maryland.
The opening plenary address on Monday, March 12, will be given by Lucian L. Leape, MD, one of the founders of the National Patient Safety Foundation. The symposium will conclude on Wednesday, March 14 with the Food and Drug Administration Human Factors Group as the closing plenary speakers.
The symposium will address a variety of topics and perspectives in health-care human factors/ergonomics, organized along three main tracks:
- Patient and Health-Care Provider Safety
- Health-Care Information Technology
- Medical Device Design
Specific topics may include emergency room management, patient handling, public health, home health care, electronic health records, health-care information systems, medical information technology, design of medicine/drug delivery devices, usability testing, and regulatory requirements.
