Student Practitioner Award Announced
The Foundation for Professional Ergonomics (FPE) has announced the creation of an award named in memory of Dieter W. Jahns, who in 1990 cofounded the Board of Certification in Professional Ergonomics (BCPE) and also served as its Executive Director. It is in recognition of his leadership and spirit that the FPE has established a scholarship award.
Open to Master's and PhD graduate students in ergonomics and ergonomics-related programs, the Dieter W. Jahns Student Practitioner Award and a prize of $500 will be presented at the BCPE reception during the HFES 54th Annual Meeting in September in San Francisco. Students who have completed their graduate degrees in the past year are also eligible. Additional information and submission requirements are available here.
