Welcome to the main page for the 2010 Annual Meeting of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, to be held at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco, 5 Embarcadero Center, San Francisco, California 94111.

Registration

• Online registration is open! The deadline for early registration is Monday, August 16. NEW in 2010: Nonmember full-week registration includes one year of complimentary HFES membership.

Accommodations and Sightseeing

• Book your room any time at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco. The rate for single or double occupancy is $225 per night plus taxes (a deposit of one night's stay is required). Book online or call 1-888-421-1442. The special HFES rate ends September 3, 2010.
• Students: Take advantage of the student roommate-matching service. Complete the information form to request a list of students who are interested in sharing accommodations for the 2010 Annual Meeting.
• Find out what's happening in San Francisco around the time of the 54th Annual Meeting at the San Francisco Convention and Visitors Bureau Web site.

Technical Program

• View the online preliminary program! Search by clicking "Browse" or log in to create a personal itinerary. Check back periodically for updates to the program, as changes can occur prior to the Annual Meeting.
• View the session schedule (.pdf, as of June 16) showing 129 technical sessions and 4 poster sessions at a glance.

Special Program Events

• "Sully" Sullenberger will present the 54th Annual Meeting Keynote Address on the morning of Tuesday, September 28.
• Don't miss "Usability and HCI Day" on Wednesday, September 29. One-day registration is available. BayCHI members: You're entitled to a 10% discount on one-day or full-week nonmember registration.

Traveling to the United States

• Note to international attendees: As of January 2010, international travelers to the U.S. from the 35 Visa Waiver Program countries must register in the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) online database at https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov before entering the U.S. by air or sea.

On-Site Career Center

• Book interviewing space and see which organizations will be conducting interviews.
• Members only: Search the online Career Center to view current position openings.

• Congratulations on your acceptance! The proceedings paper upload deadline was Wednesday, June 30. If you have questions about your submission, please contact the HFES Communications Department.
• Poster authors: View the instructions for preparing your poster for display at the meeting.
